.🌟 A Busy, Brilliant Week as Central Reopens (Well… Half Reopens!)

What a week it’s been. With Glasgow Central partially reopened after the Union Street fire and trains running at around 50% from Ayrshire, it finally feels like the city is waking back up. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than nothing — and it’s been enough to get us moving again.
And move we did.
📚 Wednesday: Glasgow Book Group
We kicked things off with our Glasgow Book Group, and what a turnout. A proper lively discussion — lots of differing opinions, plenty of debate, and the usual reminder that in our group nobody is right and nobody is wrong. That’s the magic of it. Everyone brings something different, and everyone gets it.

🤝 Thursday: Meet & Mingle
Another great turnout for our Meet & Mingle on Thursday night. A few no‑shows and late call‑offs (always a shame), but the new faces more than made up for it. It was lovely getting proper time to chat to everyone.
What’s really interesting is how people are finding us now — TikTok, Google, Reddit, Eventbrite, word of mouth, and the usual social media. The community is growing from all directions, and I absolutely love that.
🎭 Friday: Edinburgh – One Day at the Lyceum
On Friday we headed through to Edinburgh to see the new musical One Day at the Lyceum. What a show. We were lucky enough to be invited to the drinks reception beforehand, where we heard a fascinating talk about the making of the production. A brilliant night all round.

☕ Saturday: Coffee, Chat… and Fizz
Back in Glasgow on Saturday for our Coffee & Chat, which (as these things often do) turned into fizz and lunch. Afterwards we headed to the Pavilion for Scots the Musical — and honestly, I can’t recommend it enough. Funny, sad, beautifully performed, and a cast bursting with talent.

It’s been a hectic, fun, slightly chaotic week — exactly how we like it. Thanks to everyone who came along, tried something new, or joined the group for the first time. With trains running again (even at half‑strength), it feels like we’re getting our rhythm back.
Here’s to another brilliant week ahead.
