🎃 Halloween Friday: Theatre, Thrills & Ballet with Bite
Halloween weekend kicked off in spectacular style with not one, but two unforgettable events that blended spooky fun, ballet set to Black Sabbath and brilliant company.
Part One: Hauns Aff Ma Haunted Bin at Òran Mór
We started the day with a classic Glasgow treat—Play Pie and A Pint at Òran Mór. Hauns Aff Ma Haunted Bin delivered a riotous hour of spooky thrills and laughs, proving once again why this format is such a gem. The show was a well-deserved sell-out, and the laughter in the room was fab.
Afterwards, we headed for drinks and a chance to chat and connect. It was lovely getting to know new member Susan, and we must’ve made a good impression—Debbie’s friend Anne decided to officially join the group! That’s what we love - bringing people together.
Part Two: Black Sabbath Ballet at Edinburgh Festival Theatre
The next event took us east to Edinburgh for something truly unique—Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Black Sabbath Ballet. Yes, you read that right: ballet meets heavy metal. And it worked. The dancers were phenomenal, the music was goosebump-inducing, and the atmosphere was electric. Without giving too much away (in case you’re going tonight!), let’s just say it was a hauntingly beautiful experience that pushed boundaries in all the right ways.
Huge thanks to the ladies for their company and to Lorna for the after-show drinks—eventually! These events are about more than just the events; they’re about the connections, the laughter, and the shared moments that make our group so special.
Whether it’s pies and pints or pirouettes and power chords, Halloween Friday reminded us that there’s magic in mixing things up—and even more magic in doing it together. 🖤
