New Spaces Available in Our Private Facebook Group
We've recently completed a clear-out of inactive members from our private Facebook community, Glasgow Social Events/Culture For The Uncultured.
The good news? This has created 100 new places for people who would like to join our growing community.
Our private group is where members can chat about upcoming events, share recommendations, discuss books, films and theatre, and get to know fellow members in a friendly and welcoming environment.
If you've been thinking about joining, now's the perfect opportunity before those spaces disappear again.

Just drop us a note and let us know what's on your mind.

Last night saw our very first online book group discussion, where members gathered to talk about We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson.
The conversation was lively, insightful and a fantastic reminder that book discussions can bring people together whether they're meeting in person or online.
The online format gives even more people the chance to take part, especially those who can't always make our in-person events.
Still Time to Join November's Discussion
For November, we'll be reading and discussing The Talented Mr Ripley by Patricia Highsmith.
If you've been meaning to join one of our book groups, this is a great place to start.
Our In-Person Book Groups Continue to Grow
Don't worry, our online book group isn't replacing our regular meet-ups.
Our in-person book groups in Glasgow and Ayrshire continue to go from strength to strength, welcoming new members every month and generating fantastic discussions.
We're incredibly proud that our Ayrshire Book Group was recently mentioned in The Times, highlighting the wonderful community that has developed around a shared love of reading.
Theatre Trips Coming Up in November
We've got some fantastic theatre outings planned for November, including:
🎭 Matilda The Musical
🎭 Operation Mincemeat
Both shows have been proving hugely popular, and we're looking forward to sharing another great night out with members.
There are still a couple of tickets remaining for each performance, so if you've been sitting on the fence, now is the time to book before they're gone.

Whether you love books, theatre, podcasts, social events, culture or simply meeting new people, there are so many ways to get involved.
